Nevada Appeal staff report
Saturday, November 13, 2021
Families of more than 60 million children currently are receiving child tax credit payments, including $3,600 per year for children 6 years or younger and $3,000 for kids between 6 and 17.
However, families who do not sign up by Monday could miss out on payments this year.
The Nevada Department of Education is offering English and Spanish links to help families claim their child tax credit for up to $300 per month per child. The English link is at GetCTC.org/NV and the Spanish link is GetCTC.org/es/NV. Aviso: Reclame su Crédito Fiscal por Hijo hasta $300 por mes, por niño. Esto no afectará a otros beneficios. Regístrese antes del 15 de nov. en GetCTC.org/NV.
Live help is available online for those in need. Most families are likely eligible, even if they don’t usually file taxes, or earn little or no money. This will not affect other benefits. Sign up by Monday, Nov. 15 at GetCTC.org/NV.
The NDE reminds those who are interested they might be eligible for more federal dollars, like missed stimulus payments or the Child Tax Credit of up to $300 per month per child.
