Married: George M. Pullman, son of the builder of sleeping cars, was married in Carson City, to Miss Sarah Brazelle, of California. The ceremony took place in the parlors of the Arlington hotel and Justice of the Peace Stone officiated. The couple returned to California on the evening’s train and expect to make their future home in San Mateo.

The late Mr. Spotted Tail was a great wit. During one of his Eastern trips he was shown through the jails of Washington and New York, and he was told that some of the prisoners were in for murder, others for forgery, some for arson, and others for robbery, etc. Finally, at one of these institutions, he turned around to his informant and asked: “My friend, have you anybody in here for stealing from Indians?”

There was a merry war on lower Washington street last Sunday night. Two individuals, husband and wife, took a notion to invade the domicile of a neighbor on hostile purposes bent. He was prepared to receive them however and with his wife’s assistance entertained them so warmly that they were about to retreat. — Chronicle

The Aurora Stage Robbed. — Yesterday Mr. Rice received a telegram from a Wells Fargo & Co. agent at Genoa: “Stage robbed this morning one mile below the Mountain House, by two men, one tall, the other medium height. There were five passengers in the stage at the time. None of them nor the driver were robbed.” The amount taken was $228. On the same stage were nine bars of Northern Belle bullion.

Another large train of emigrants, consisting of 143 grown persons, says the Silver State of Saturday, passed West yesterday. Many of them were direct from the Basque province of Spain, and wore the peculiar costume of the peasants of that section.
