Rusty Goe wins national book of the year honor

The Numismatic Literary Guild honored Reno writer/researcher Rusty Goe with double awards in late summer 2021.
Goe’s new 2,500-page, three-volume book, “The Confident Carson City Coin Collector,” received the Numismatic Literary Guild’s Book of the Year award.
According to Guild Executive Director Charles Morgan, “the 2021 Writers Competition (was) one of the most competitive we have held in years. The Confident Carson City Coin Collector is the most significant numismatic magnum opus published on the topic of American coinage since 1987.…”
The Numismatic Literary Guild also honored Goe’s new work for Best Book in the United States Coins category.
Goe’s first book, “The Mint on Carson Street,” received the Numismatic Literary Guild’s Book of the Year award in 2004.
