VA awards $31,495 for adaptive sports programs in Reno and Las Vegas

The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded a $31,495 grant to support adaptive sports programs for veterans.
The Military Sports Camp in Reno will receive $20,595.
That program provides a variety of recreational activities including bowling, water skiing, archery, sled hockey, rock climbing and mountain biking through its “Fit but Not Forgotten” program.
The city of Las Vegas won four grants through the VA. That includes $8,075 for gyms, pools, fitness and gardening classes. The city received $1,200 for its adaptive archery program, $850 for aquatic therapy and $750 for swim lessons.
