Gov. Steve Sisolak has declared Wednesday Energy Efficiency Day in Nevada.
David Bobzien, head of the Governor’s Office of Energy, said during the last Legislature, Nevada adopted the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code. He said that will made the state’s building codes more efficient than ever, enabling significant reductions in Green House Gas emissions.
‘Thanks to Assembly Bill 383 during the last legislative session, our office will soon facilitate new standards for energy efficient appliances sold in Nevada,” Bobzien said.
But he said the easiest and most affordable way to improve energy efficiency in a home is to replace light bulbs with the new efficient bulbs.
