The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is investigating human remains found in a burned out car on Sunday morning. According to a press release, at 8:42 a.m. deputies responded to an area on Gallagher Pass in Smith Valley where they found a burned out car and the remains.
The remains were sent to the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office for identification. Foul play is not suspected, the press release said.
