Gov. Steve Sisolak on Tuesday named two Lyon County school employees to the Recognizing Inspirational School Employees awards.
He said Arthur Dahlstrom and Heather Staunton-Williams demonstrate their commitment to students in the district.
Dahlstrom is a school nurse at Fernley High with 42 years of medical expertise to support students at the 1,300-student school.
Staunton-Williams was honored as the kitchen lead at Dayton High, ensuring each student has a healthy breakfast. She also started a pantry at the school to offer food to students on weekends.
