The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on SR-341 at Storey County Mile Marker 10.
The head-on crash was reported at 5:42 p.m. Friday.
Preliminary investigation shows that a white 2013 Subaru Forester was traveling southbound on SR-341. For unknown reasons, the vehicle went right striking the guardrail. The Subaru rotated away from the guardrail and crossed over the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. The front of the Subaru struck the left side of a white 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup traveling northbound.
The driver of the Subaru, Stephen Garrison, a 68-year-old Reno resident, was declared deceased on scene.
This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) - Case #211001705.
