TOCCATA Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will finish its 2021 Tahoe Summer MusicFest with a four concert series beginning Sunday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. in Cornerstone Church, Incline Village, 300 Country Club Drive.
The concert will open with Bach’s Concerto for 2 Violins in D minor. Heidi Hatch, guest artist, will play violin 1 solo and the second solo part will be played by concertmasters Jeff Lindhorst, Brian Fox and Claire Tatman.
The concert continues with French composer Gabriel Faure’s Requiem. The concert concludes with Mozart’s Violin Concerto #4 in D major, with Hatch as soloist.
Lindhorst serves as concertmaster. Maestro James Rawie, Tahoe Symphony’s founder and executive artistic director, will conduct all performances.
The concert will be repeated on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. at CVIC Theater in Minden, 1604 Esmeralda Ave. This concert will be dedicated to the memory of Greg Brown, a dear friend and donor of TOCCATA who passed away recently. Carson Valley Arts Council will be collaborating with TOCCATA for the concert.
The final two performances will be Friday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at Bartley Ranch Amphitheater in Reno and Sunday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. in South Lake Tahoe at a venue to be announced.
Tickets for all 9/11 Memorial/Remembrance concerts are available at the door or online at www.ToccataTahoe.com. General admission is $30 adults and $25 for seniors. Youth/students under age 23 enjoy free admission. Preferred/reserved seating is $40 and $15 for youth/students.
