Soccer
The girls’ team opened the season on Wednesday in Sparks, nabbing a 3-1 win, before the game ended early due to rain. Fallon, though, couldn’t get on the board in a 5-0 loss at Truckee on Saturday.
The Greenwave boys hosted Reno and Truckee to open the season, losing both contests. In the 9-1 loss to Reno on Wednesday, Fallon’s lone goal came from Bryan Mendoza in the 70th minute. Truckee shut out Fallon, 8-0, on Saturday.
Volleyball
Fallon lost to Truckee in straight sets on the road on Friday to stay winless on the season. The Wave has two road matches this week against Sparks and North Valleys before hosting Hug on Saturday.
Oasis Academy lost at Round Mountain in straight sets on Saturday. The Knights dispatched the Bighorns 25-15, 25-16 and 25-13.
Girls golf
Fallon competed in Elko County last week with Gabby Loop and Hannah Benjamin scoring for the Wave. Loop posted a 131 in last Monday’s tournament at Spring Creek and Benjamin carded a 146. Benjamin, improved the next day by finishing with a 126 and Loop followed with a 130 in the Elko tournament on Tuesday.
Tennis
Fallon was scheduled to play Incline last week, but the matches are being rescheduled.
