Two people have been arrested in connection with the June 19 crash that killed a bicyclist in Washoe Valley.
Boryana Straubel, 38, of Washoe Valley died at the scene.
The Ford Escort crossed the center line of the roadway and hit the bicyclist who was riding on the shoulder.
The occupants of the Ford Escort remained at the scene. Irma Arellano-Arrroyo told investigators she was driving and her passenger, Guadelupe Garcia-Davalos, said he was asleep.

But investigators said there were inconsistencies that made them doubt those stories. After a full investigation by Nevada Highway Patrol’s Major Crimes Unit, the two were arrested this week. Investigators charged they lied about what happened in the early morning crash.
She was charged with felony reckless driving, making a false police report, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to use due care to avoid the bike and obstructing officers.
He was charged a false report and conspiracy.
They were booked into the Washoe County Detention Center on Wednesday. The investigation was submitted to the Washoe DA’s office for review.
