The federal government has awarded Nevada $24.5 million in grant funding to supply first responders with personal protective equipment.
Rep. Steven Horsford, D-Nev., said the funding will go to the Division of Emergency Management to pay for gloves, masks, face shields, coveralls and respirators to distribute to first responders and emergency management personnel.
He said the gear will help workers who have put themselves at great personal risk to protect Nevadans from the virus.
