Carson sheriff seeks pickup driver who hit moped, fled scene

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is seeking a white male pickup driver who hit a moped rider and fled the scene of the wreck, according to a news release.
CCSO said the hit and run crash occurred Saturday, March 26 at approximately 6:55 p.m., at Clearview Lane and Silver Sage Drive.
A white GMC pickup with a white utility shell and Nevada license plates was witnessed crashing into a moped at the intersection, the release said. A white adult male was seen exiting the vehicle and briefly checking on the rider of the moped before fleeing the scene. Witnesses were able to capture photos of the vehicle.


The rider of the moped was transported to Renown by Carson City Fire for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver is described as possibly in his 30s, possibly short light brown hair or blond with a beard, wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
