Thank you to EMTs, doctors for care
Sometimes I forget how fortunate it is to have lived in Carson City for the last 52 years.
No, I am not Nevada born or raised.
We are fortunate to have the best of EMTs, the best hospital in the state with the best doctor and nursing staff. On April 24, I needed all of their services because I fell and hit my head. Must have lost nearly a pint of blood. EMT was here in 10 minutes; stopped the bleeding and quickly got me to emergency.
Why did I have to wait so long to be treated? I'll tell you: the staff was extended to the limit. The doctor who treated me had been on duty for 13 hours. The other doctors and nurses never stopped to catch their breaths, but I could not have wished for better care. These people are the true heroes who live among us. Unfortunately, I cannot remember any of their names. But whoever they were, the powers that be would do well to give them at least A Job Well Done and an E for excellence.
