U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., said Wednesday the bipartisan infrastructure law will pump $25 million to the city of Fernley to support the Victory Project.
That project will complete the Nevada Pacific Parkway between Interstate 80 and Highway 50.
She said that project will support the build-out of the Victory Logistics District and bring thousands of good paying jobs to the area.
Fernley Mayor Roy Edington, Jr., said that is the largest single grant award in Fernley history and it a critical infrastructure project for the city. He said the project will be “transformative” for the area economy.
He thanked not only Masto but fellow Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., and Rep. Mark Amodei, R-Nev., along with the Department of Transportation for their work to secure the funding.
