Gov.-elect Joe Lombardo has named 18 people who will make up his transition team leaders as his inauguration approaches.
The group of committee chairs is headed by Peter Guzman, president of the Latin Chamber of Commerce.
Guzman said the committees will prepare Lombardo and his administration to successfully implement his policies and priorities.
The working committee chairs named Wednesday are:
• J.J. Goicoechea of the Eureka County Commission on agriculture and ranching.
• Mike Kazmierski of EDAWN on Economic Development.
• Sig and Lori Rogich on public education.
• Karen Haller of Southwest Gas Holdings on energy.
• Lincoln Commissioner Mike Reese on environment, land and wildlife.
• Scott Muelrath of the Henderson Chamber on government reform.
• Catherine O’Mara, of HCA Healthcare on healthcare.
• Washoe Commissioner Bob Lucey on infrastructure and transportation.
• Wes Duncan, Sparks City Attorney, on military affairs and veterans.
• David Goldwater of Pinion Public Affairs on mining.
• Nevada Public Safety Director George Togliatti on public safety, law enforcement and corrections.
• Ann Barnett of the Nevada Contractors Association on real estate, housing and construction.
• Lorraine Marshall of Irenic Consulting and Clifton Marshall of Airport Concessionaires on small businesses.
• Betsy Fretwell of Switch on technology, innovation and modernization.
• Mike Britt of Red Rock Resorts on tourism, gaming and sports.
• John Entsminger of the Southern Nevada Water Authority on water issues.
• Ann Silver of the Reno-Sparks Chamber on workforce development.
