The former home of Swift Communications and the Sierra Nevada Media Group was sold recently to Greenlaw Partners for $11.3 million.
Greenlaw Partners plans to lease the building to Bruce Aerospace, which currently is located in Dayton.
Bruce Aerospace is an elite producer of aircraft interior lighting systems. Bruce Aerospace plans to occupy 580 Mallory Way in 2023 after completing building modifications.
The Nevada Appeal headquarters remains in the building, maintaining business as usual.
The property was formerly home to the corporate offices for the Sierra Nevada Media Group dba Questor Corp., who was a predominant media provider in destination communities around the west. The building featured corporate offices as well as a modern printing press that produced many local and regional newspapers. The press area was disassembled and sold as part of Questors’ disposition process.
The building offers over 54,000 square feet of production area, with the majority of the 35,000 square foot office area remodeled in 2017.
Dickson Commercial Group Industrial team, Nick Knecht, CCIM, Joel Fountain, SIOR, and Baker Krukow, along with DCG Principal Tom Fennell, SIOR, CCIM, represented the seller.
“Working with the team at DCG made all the difference to a very successful outcome. This particular transaction presented some unique challenges, and at every step along the way, from the original listing to the final close, Tom, Joel, Baker, and Nick provided keen insights, pragmatic advice, and deft negotiating skills, never once letting even the smallest detail slip. And they are an absolute pleasure to work with. We’ve interacted with multiple commercial real estate brokers this year, and DCG’s professionalism and acumen put them head and shoulders above others,” said Bill Waters, Questor CEO.
Dickson Commercial Group based in Reno is a locally owned and operated full-service commercial real estate firm with ties to Northern Nevada spanning 40 years.
The Nevada Appeal was purchased by Pacific Publishing in 2019, from then-Swift Communications. Since 2019, the Nevada Appeal and the Nevada News Group have rented space in 580 Mallory Way.
