Proscenium Players, Inc., is performing the comedy “Four Weddings and an Elvis,” Friday through Sunday at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at https://www.breweryarts.org.

The story centers around Sandy, the flaky and cynical owner of a wedding chapel in Las Vegas, and the couples coming to the chapel to get married: Stan and Bev are getting married to exact revenge on their exes; Vanessa and Bryce are arrogant aging stars seeking publicity; and Fiona and Marvin are opposites in every way but are madly in love.

This is the company’s second show since the COVID shutdown and has had its share of challenges.

“We are all making our way back to normal life,” said Jeff Basa, the show’s director. “Our current environment presented unique challenges unlike any other. Many of the roles were cast with two actors to ensure rehearsals and performances would take place. I can’t say enough good things about the cast and crew who have persevered and created an extremely funny show for everyone to enjoy.”
