Chief Deputy Assessor Kimberly Adams will run for Carson City assessor.
Adams began her career with the Assessor’s Office in 2000 as a property appraiser technician then in 2003 was promoted to senior deputy assessor. In July 2014 Kimberly was promoted to chief deputy assessor.
If elected Adams will be the first female Carson City assessor.
Adams has been a certified property appraiser with the assessor’s office since 2006. She is certified in both real and personal property. Adams has extensive experience working with the Board of Supervisors, Board of Equalization, city elected officials and department heads.
Current Assessor Dave Dawley, who has been in office since 2002, endorses Adams. Dawley is going to retire at the end of his term.
Adams has been married for more than 20 years to retired Carson City Deputy Jarrod Adams and they raised their family in Carson City. Adams has served at her church for several years and enjoys coaching functional fitness at her local gym.
Filing for candidates opens March 7.
