Happy New Year! Thinking about those words causes me to wonder about what actually would make a happy year. So, I have found some Bible verses that help define a happy year.
Psalm 144:15 Happy the people to whom such blessings fall! Happy the people whose God is the Lord!
H: To have a happy year, we need to pursue happiness which can be found in our Lord.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
A: The year of happiness begins as I appreciate and encourage the people and circumstances around me.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray constantly.
P: A happy year is a year based on Prayer.
Psalm 7:17 I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the most high.
P: Praising God helps build a happy year.
Psalm 42:1-2 As a deer longs for flowing streams, so longs my soul for thee, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?
Y: As I yearn and long for a closer relationship with God, my year will be better.
May we all pursue a happy new year!
