Dallas-based factory-direct sports equipment company BSN Sports recently announced the acquisition of Carson City’s Team Sports Ink, LLC.
Through the acquisition, BSN welcomes Team Sports Ink owner and founder Butch Cattanach, and his son-in-law, Carl Baker, along with Team Sports Ink sales team members and support staff to the BSN platform, according to a Jan. 5 press release.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition enables BSN, founded in 1972, to scale its services for a growing Nevada customer base and enhances offerings available to local athletic programs and organizations. In joining BSN, the sales team will continue to support customers out of the Carson City office on Grumman Drive, which will become BSN’s first Nevada location.
“The addition of our new Teams Sports Ink teammates is an exciting first step into 2022. Under Mr. Cattanach’s leadership, the company has maintained an excellent reputation of outstanding customer service and we look forward to building upon that foundation with industry-leading product offerings and team purchasing platforms, Terry Babilla, BSN president, said in a statement. “Additionally, customers can expect unlimited access to free premier coaching and development resources and sport-specific product experts that truly bring forth a one-stop shopping experience for coaches, schools and athletic organizations.”
Team Sports Ink, a team sporting goods provider and decorator for the greater Reno-Carson youth and high school athletic markets, was founded in 1999.
“Since its founding, Team Sports Ink has had the honor of serving athletes, coaches and families with a focus on providing an elevated service experience to our local communities,” Cattanach said in a statement. “Our team is excited to gain the ability to provide more products and services than ever before with the support and backing of a national company in BSN Sports. Along with our sales team, I embrace the opportunity to continue deepening relationships with our local community and creating positive experiences for coaches with new tools and resources to elevate the experience of our customers.”
