Starting with the July 2022 billing cycle, Carson City’s water, wastewater, and stormwater rates are increasing. Water services will increase 3 percent, and wastewater service will increase 3.5 percent. The average customer will pay $3.19 more for those services combined. Stormwater rate increases vary by residence, but most customers will see a $0.61 increase on the monthly bill. The city said the increase is necessary to cover the city’s operational and maintenance expenses for water services.
