Unemployment continued to decline in June, falling to just 3.3 percent in the Reno-Sparks area and 3.7 percent in Carson City.
Las Vegas remained higher, though, finishing the month at 5.7 percent. Clark County’s rate is the highest in the state.
Lowest among Nevada’s 17 counties is White Pine at just 2.9 percent.
As of June, there were 1.45 million employed in Nevada and just under 71,000 seeking work. In the Reno Metropolitan Statistical area, 247,984 were employed with just 8,479 jobless.
In Carson City, 24,722 were working with just 956 looking.
Las Vegas reported just over 1 million employed and 64,089 looking for a job.
At the other end of the scale, Esmeralda County had just 12 out of work in a labor pool of 402, followed by Humboldt County with 29 jobless in a labor force of 966.
Statewide, the raw or unadjusted unemployment rate fell two tenths to 4.7 percent in June.
