Singer-songwriter Kevin Milburn will perform with the Carson City Symphony and Chorus at the Capital Amphitheater on June 12.
The Carson City Symphony’s 2022 annual pops party concert will be held on Sunday, June 12 at 6 p.m. at the Capital Amphitheater, in the park between the Capitol and Legislature buildings.
The Carson City Symphony, led by David Bugli, will be joined on the program by the Carson Chamber Singers, led by director Ricky Hutton, singer-songwriter Kevin Milburn, and a zampona ensemble with Kantu Inka.
The program includes show tunes, Sousa marches, pops music, and Kevin Milburn’s original songs. The Carson Chamber Singers will sing Dos Oruguitas from Disney’s “Encanto” by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Down by the Riverside arranged by John Rutter, and Homeland by Gustav Holst. Admission is free.
Seating is on the lawn. The audience is invited to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Free parking is in the garage on the corner of Fifth and Stewart streets or on the street.
Raffle tickets will be available, and a food truck will be on Carson Street adjacent to the park.
In case of rain, the concert will be indoors in the Maizie theater at the Brewery Arts Center.
