Carson City School District officials confirmed Wednesday Carson Middle School was placed on its standard response protocol “hold” procedure and placed a student in questioning due to disruption. The student was disciplined for shouting out the word “gun” during a morning passing period, according to spokesman Dan Davis.
School resource officers quickly determined there was no immediate threat on campus, and the instructional day continued as normal, according to the district’s ParentSquare message sent out to parents and families of Carson Middle School students.
