The Churchill County Republican Central Committee conducted its precinct meeting on Saturday at the Rafter 3C Center.
Gary Smith, chairman of the CCRCC, said the attendance was a little above the numbers that conduct business in a nonpresidential year.
The precinct meeting lasted an hour. March 12, Smith said the county convention will also be held at the Rafter 3C Center beginning at 10 a.m.
During the county convention, delegates to the state convention will be elected, and a central committee will be chosen for two years. Other party affairs will be considered.
According to the Churchill County Republicans, a voting precinct is entitled to a number of delegates in proportion to the number of registered Republican voters who reside in each precinct.
