State officials Tuesday announced eligible organizations that are seeking federal grants can augment those funds with state matching fund grants.
Officials say the state Grant Matching Program can be used to satisfy up to 50 percent of the federal grant match requirement. Lawmakers last year funded the program with $1 million a year.
Eligible organizations include non-profits, tribal governments, local governments and state agencies.
To qualify, applicants must have first exhausted all other potential sources of matching funds.
Applications for federal grants of $150,000 or more are due by March 18 of this year. All other applications are due by June 1. Applications will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
