A Fallon woman charged with first-degree murder will appear in the New River Township Justice Court on Thursday.

Torri Anne Gibbs, along with Bobbie Collins, allegedly killed Sean Green on or about March 26, 2020. Collins’ retained attorney Steve Evenson appeared on his client’s behalf in Justice Court on March 3. At the time of his death, Green was 48 years old.

Collins is being held without bail in the Churchill County Detention Facility, as is Gibbs.

The most serious count outlined in the criminal complaint charges Gibbs with first degree felony murder with the use of a firearm, a Category A felony. The complaint states the “defendant did directly or indirectly counsel, encourage, hire, command, induce or otherwise procured Robert Shannon Collins Jr. to willful, deliberate and premediated kill Sean Green by shooting him multiple times with a handgun.”

The murder, according to the complaint, occurred at our near 71 Rio Vista. The Category A Felony is punishable by a 50-year sentence, life in prison or the death penalty.

The second count is for conspiracy to commit murder, a Category B felony. Gibbs allegedly conspired with Collins to kill Green. If convicted, Gibbs would face a prison sentence of 2-to-10 years.

Count 3 charges Gibbs with principal to discharging firearm at or into an occupied structure, vehicle, aircraft or watercraft, a Category B felony. Gibbs is accused in the criminal complaint of directly or indirectly counsel, encourage, hire, command, induce or otherwise procured Collins to shoot at the Green’s residence when he was, at the time, occupying the residence.

This charge carries a penalty of 1-to-2 years in prison.

The final count charges Gibbs with destroying or concealing evidence, a gross misdemeanor. The complaint states Gibbs concealed a gun magazine in a hidden compartment in a vehicle.

If convicted, Gibbs would face 364 days in jail.

Evenson will return to court for a preliminary hearing on Collins on July 20-22.
