Though hard to measure, ask any real estate agent if they’ve experienced it and they surely must say yes. We are talking about the times when a property is on the market for very long time … until you look at it, and then there is the proverbial line at the door to see it.
A property that has been on the market unsold for three months is suddenly besieged by multiple offers. If such phenomenon occurred once in a while, one could call it a coincidence, but it happens with such regularity and consistency that you can actually count on it. You can test this theory by thinking of a good friend or family member. Put out some thoughts of them and see how long it is before they call or stop by.
It is important for you to remember this as you are thinking and talking about the house you like. It is natural to be enthusiastic about a nice home, but this market is very unique in that there isn’t much of an inventory. In a normal market you could have some positive thoughts, maybe generate some competitive buyers, but you would stand a good chance of taking your emotional enthusiasm for the property to fruition with you buying the property. With such little inventory, you can find yourself with a lot of competition from like-minded positive thought generating buyers that all together create a buying frenzy around your desired home.
Somebody will buy the home and it might as well be you. It is good to have the positive thoughts you are having, we suggest, however, that you guard them as best you can. If you find yourself in a competitive situation and the home sells to somebody else, all is not lost. Keep thinking the good thoughts at that point, and ramp them up. The universe works in weird ways sometimes and you might just find yourself the recipient of that fateful phone call telling you that the home is once again available, “Do you still want it?” Of course you do! When that happens act quickly to tie the property up before the other interested parties find their way back to muddy the waters for you.
If you find yourself looking at what is known by the technical description “a dog,” keep your thoughts positive. It may be something that would work as an investment, an opportunity for somebody you know, etc. It may seem like the most unlikely of properties that you would consider buying, but things have a way of happening in unexpected manners sometimes. Your positive thoughts and disposition about the property can lead to a result you might have thought impossible. The seller may make you an offer to sell that you can’t turn down. We are all intertwined in ways we don’t really understand, but be assured, that interconnectivity dynamic is real.
We’ve seen too many unexplainable things occur over the years that can only be attributed to vibrational energy, good and bad. We always tell our customers, “Don’t fall in love with it!” If you like it, let’s make an offer and work toward getting it for you, but don’t put out the love vibe. That is a strong emotion and you just might generate unwanted competition for yourself. You can use this same energy to attract a buyer if you are a seller, or the perfect home if you are a buyer. Be aware of your thoughts and energy as you engage and interact in the home buying/selling experience and you will have the experience of unexplained success.
When you are in a competitive market you need to utilize every tool you can. Thinking the right thoughts is a simple yet very effective tool that yields great results. Keep thinking the good thoughts and good luck!
