Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into the suspicious disappearance of 18-year-old Naomi Irion of Fernley, according to a news release Wednesday afternoon.
Irion was last seen in the parking lot of Walmart in Fernley on March 12 at approximately 5 a.m. The investigation now indicates that the suspect may be driving a dark 2020 or newer Chevrolet 2500 High Country four-door pickup.
The forensic evidence discovered, to date, continues to lead Lyon County Investigators to believe Irion’s disappearance is suspicious in nature and that the driver of the vehicle has a direct connection to her disappearance and her current whereabouts.Irion’s vehicle, a four-door sedan, was located near Walmart in an east end industrial area of Fernley. Forensic evidence has been recovered and is being expedited for testing through the Washoe County Forensic Investigation Section.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is seeking any information regarding the disappearance and whereabouts of Irion, the Chevrolet pickup and/or information concerning possible contacts that persons may have had with Irion.

Lyon County investigators are searching for an 18-year-old woman who went missing from the Walmart in Fernley on Saturday.
Authorities believe she may have been kidnapped.
Her vehicle was found Tuesday about noon at the industrial park in Fernley. Deputies say evidence found inside the car suggests Naomi Irion’s disappearance was the result of a crime. The Washoe County Forensic Investigation Section is helping process the car.
Irion is described as 5′11″ with dyed black hair. Her family said her eyes are green, but one also has brown in it.
She was last need about 5 a.m. Saturday. On the video surveillance, a subject is seen walking from a nearby "homeless camp" lurking in vehicles. He is seen getting into the drivers seat of Naomis vehicle and leaves in an unknown direction with Naomi in the passenger seat.
