A total of 46 people have died on Nevada roadways in the first two months of 2022.
That, however, is eight fewer than in the same period of 2021.
Of the 46 deaths, 39 were in Clark County. There were three in Washoe and none as of the end of February in Carson City.
The only other counties reporting fatalities were Churchill and Nye, with one death apiece, and Elko with two deaths.
Two of Washoe County’s three fatalities were pedestrians while 14 of those killed in Clark County were pedestrians. In addition, Clark reported one bicyclist and six motorcyclists killed.
Nye County was the only other county to report a motorcycle fatality.
The traffic fatality report is compiled monthly by the state’s Office of Traffic Safety.
