UNR Extension will be offering Master Gardener program updates for residents on Thursday, May 19 from 10-11:30 a.m. and Thursday, May 26 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Nevada Master Gardener programming has expanded to offer several levels of involvement. Those interested in horticulture training for personal use can participate in an initial multi-week program in August, which runs through September.
Additional in-depth training is the next step in the program and provides an array of volunteer opportunities to enrich the horticultural life of our communities starting in late October.
Local activities will focus on tours, gardening updates, and opportunities to connect with others who have similar interests throughout the year. There will be no charge to attend either or both sessions at the Extension office located at 2621 Northgate Lane, Ste. 12, in Carson City.
