In Class 1A, the top three finishers in each event qualified for the state meet.
In the 100-meter dash Flynn Scheibe took second place in 11.2 seconds and turned around with another second place in the 200, qualifying for state in both events.
It wasn’t long before Scheibe won the Class 1A open 400 in 53.51.
Freshman Joshua Fox was third in the 1,600 while fellow freshman Chandler Ricks was third in the 3,200.
The Falcons’ 4x200, 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams were all top three as well.
For the Sierra Lutheran girls, Saige Gregory led the way in the long distance events qualifying for the state meet in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200.
Just like the boys, all three girls relay teams that ran made the state tournament in the 4x100 and 4x200 while the Falcons’ 4x400 won the regional title.
