Halloran finishes 5th at state golf
Oasis Academy senior Trevor Halloran finished fifth in last week’s 2A state golf tournament at the Chimera Golf Club, a par-72 course in Henderson.
Halloran sat tied for first after the first day of action, recording a 72. The second day, though, saw the senior fall back by 11 strokes as he finished with an 83 for a two-day score of 155. The winner was Sierra Lutheran’s Brock Walters, who carded a 72 and 70 for a 142 total.
