After leading the Greenwave to the No. 1 seed in the 3A North playoffs, Fallon coach Brooke Hill and quarterback Bryce Adams were named Co-Coach and Offensive Most Valuable Player of the Year.

Fallon racked up 24 all-3A East selections to go with 11 who also made the all-league team, which included the 3A West, as the team hosts Spring Creek on Friday in the regional semifinals. Fallon edged rival Elko, 35-34, for the most selections in the region while Truckee, which won the 3A West, had 33 players named.

Along with Hill and Adams, senior Steven Moon (wide receiver) and sophomore Trevor Hyde (offensive line) were voted to the all-league First Team for offense, while senior Tristan Hill (linebacker) and sophomores Baylor Sandberg (defensive line) and Brady Alves (defensive back) were selected to the defense’s First Team.

Kicker and junior Cesar Gonzalez, who joined the team late after playing soccer the previous season, was named to the offense’s Second Team. Juniors Ethan Tarner (defensive line), Rolland Grondin (linebacker) and Carter Paul (defensive back) were selected to the defense’s Second Team.

Fallon junior quarterback Bryce Adams was named Offensive Most Valuable Player of the Year in the 3A North.

 

The Greenwave were heavily recognized in their own division as Sandberg joined Adams and Hill as the Co-Defense MVP with Elko’s Jacob Aguirre.

First Team Offense honors also went to Moon, Hyde and Gonzalez, while senior Brody Jacks, who returned from an injury to star at running back, and sophomore Garrett Payne (offensive line) were named to the Second Team. Tarner double-dipped on the Second Team as a wide receiver and punter.

On defense, Tarner, Hill, Grondin, Alves and Paul were recognized on the First Team. Hyde (defensive line) and senior Jeremiah Prinz (linebacker) were named to the Second Team.

Fallon landed seven on the honorable mention list, including seniors Casamaro White (linebacker) and Alain Barrera (offensive line), juniors Sean Reeder (offensive and defensive line), Rafe Brown (offensive line), Caden McKnight (linebacker) and Paul.


Fallon coach Brooke Hill was named Co-Coach of the Year in the 3A North after leading the Greenwave to the No. 1 seed for the playoffs.
