A man wanted for more than three years is being held in Carson City on numerous drug and firearms charges after being arrested last week with two others, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office news release.

Kenneth Anderson, Joseph Desjardins, and Jess Fields were booked into the Carson City Jail for drug trafficking, drug possession, and ex-felon possessing firearms-related charges, among others.

On Nov. 10, the Tri-NET Task Force and Carson City Sheriff’s Office’s Special Enforcement Team conducted an operation to apprehend Anderson, 46. He has eluded law enforcement officials for over three years.

Anderson had three felony warrants for multiple charges of controlled substance possession and trafficking of large amounts of controlled substances and one misdemeanor warrant from three counties. The bail amounts for these warrants totaled over $1 million.

Anderson and his passenger, Desjardins, 39, drove to a local auto parts store on this day. The two entered the store and, upon exiting, were encountered by the Tri-NET Task Force and the Special Enforcement Team, where both were taken into custody.

A search of their vehicle resulted in the discovery of a large cache of various controlled substances and illegal firearms:  One unserialized rifle, one unserialized handgun, also known as “ghost guns,” and one other rifle with an equipped silencer without a permit, 467 rifle rounds of ammunition, 430 grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 34 grams of M30 fentanyl pills, 2 grams of heroin, 790 grams of marijuana, a large amount of cash in various denominations, and a variety of drug paraphernalia.

Multiple stolen Nevada and California driver’s licenses and bank cards of other victims were recovered. Additionally, Anderson had three fake identifications and Social Security cards to match.

Before the arrest of Anderson and Desjardins, the two were seen leaving the residence of an associate, Fields, 57, in the northwest region of Carson City. Fields had an arrest warrant out of the Carson City Justice Court for receiving stolen property from a previous unrelated investigation. The Special Weapons and Tactics Team conducted arrest warrant service on Fields’ residence and apprehended Jess without further incident. A search warrant was served on the home, which recovered two more handguns, one being another ghost gun, and an additional approximately 27 grams of methamphetamine.

Anderson, Desjardins, and Fields were booked into the Carson City Jail for drug trafficking, drug possession, and ex-felon possessing firearms-related charges, among others.

The net street price of the illicit drugs recovered is approximately $27,400.
