We have a great lineup of holiday movies and events coming your way. We hope you can join us.

This Friday night is the city of Fallon Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Maine Street from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Then please join us right after the tree lighting for a free Christmas Concert by the Lahontan Valley Concert Choir on our stage. Also that evening we will be showing at 6:30 p.m., the children's movie “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

This 1964 animated movie is narrated by Sam the Snowman who tells us the story of a young reindeer named Rudolph who lives at the North Pole. His father is one of Santa's reindeer and it is expected that Rudolph will eventually be one too. However, he has a feature which is a setback and causes him to be ostracized: his red nose!

Our second feature Friday night after the choir is the 1983 comedy “A Christmas Story.” In this hilarious story set in the 1940s, a young boy named Ralphie attempts to convince his parents, teacher and Santa Clause that a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun is the perfect Christmas gift.

Starring Peter Billingsley as Ralphie, Melinda Dillon and Darren McGavin.

Saturday night we will be showing both the above moves again with “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” playing at 6 p.m. and “A Christmas Story” at 6:30 p.m.

Please mark your calendars for Dec. 21 as we are excited to have the Nashville-based country duo, Luke and Kaylee. They take our stage for a holiday show and will be playing some country, Christmas and original songs. Tickets are $20 per person with 20% of ticket sales donated to a local charity.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with performance starting at 7 p.m. For tickets, visit lukeandkayleemusic.com/merch. Hope to see you all there.
