The Nevada Department of Transportation is warning drivers there will be lane closures on the lower part of the Mt. Rose Highway the rest of this week.

Crews will be replacing a section of pavement near the roadway shoulder near Thompson Lane. The work will take an estimated three days.

A spokesman said a four-inch depression was found last month and filled with a temporary patch. That patch will be removed and the problem area properly repaved for driver safety.

The work is scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 20-22, from 6:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. each day.
