Dariana Pineda Herrera is an amazing student at Carson High School.
She is a dedicated, hard-working and highly intelligent young woman who has set high goals for herself.
She came to the United States when she was six and a half years old, and it was only then, when she started school at Mark Twain Elementary, that she started learning to speak English. Her family has a great belief in the power of education. Both of her parents attended college in Nicaragua; her mom earned a degree in banking and her dad completing a welding program. Both parents now both own their own businesses.
As a Carson High Senior, Dariana has a GPA of 3.857. She has taken many honors level courses and has also taken Spanish classes since her eighth-grade year. She plans on earning a Bilingual Diploma. In her free time, Dariana likes to hang out with friends and her boyfriend. She likes spending her summers hanging out at Lake Tahoe. She is committed to continuing her education plans by starting at WNC and then attending Oregon State to complete her degree in Veterinary Science.
Carson High School is thrilled to recognize Dariana Pineda Herrera as their “Senior in the Spotlight.” For more information, please visit senatorsnow.org.
