Community Development Block Grant Project Description Notice
Churchill County intends to apply for funds from the State of Nevada
Community Grant Program for fiscal year 2023. Presentations on the
proposed project will be provided on October 6, 2022 at the regularly
scheduled Board of County Commissioners meeting.
Rafter 3C RV Park – Construction of 300 space RV facility on 38-acres
to support Churchill County Fairgrounds facilities and amenities, which
are anchored by the 3C Complex for $1,661,256.
Cottage School Renovation Project – Renovation of Building 3 of the
Cottage Schools to support Churchill County’s Out-of-School Child Care
Programs for $98,400.
Sponsored grant (supports 2 or more jurisdictions:
Central Nevada Health District - Purchase of vehicles and medical
equipment to support the creation and implementation of Community
Health Nurses Services in City of Fallon, and Counties of Churchill,
Eureka, Pershing and Mineral for $375,760.
Each eligible jurisdiction is able to submit 2 direct applications for funding
and 2 sponsorship applications that serve 2 or more eligible jurisdictions
It is anticipated that no displacement of persons will occur as a direct
result of this project. Churchill County’s applications, anti-displacement
plan, community development, housing needs statement, and a
description of the county’s past performance of CDBG grants will be
available for public inspection at the Churchill County Social Services
office from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM until October 3, 2022. Written comments
