“Rail is a big selling point for the county and potential ventures,” Whittemore said.
Whittemore said, however, a data center will not require a rail line.
Colter said a solar study has been completed for the geothermal plant.
Whittemore said he has spent significant resources for engineering at the Haneva Sky Ranch.
“We’re still here working on the projects,” he said.
• Commissioners provided an update on the legislative session and approved action to be a cooperative agency with the Bureau of Land Management for the process of preparing a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement ad Resource Management Plan for updated utility-scale solar energy planning on federal public land.
