The Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested a Carson City man for suspicion of a rash of burglaries at an Airport Road address on Wednesday night.

Carson City resident Shawn Lee Patten, 48, was booked into the Carson City Jail on three counts of vehicle burglary, three counts of possession of stolen property and one count of commercial burglary — all felonies.

According to an arrest report, investigators were able to locate the suspect after retrieving fingerprints from a vehicle that had been broken into and from geolocation pinging of a stolen iPad. The vehicle burglaries occurred around Lango Drive between Sunday night and Monday morning. The commercial burglary occurred at a North Carson restaurant Aug. 11.

Before the arrest Wednesday night, CCSO had issued a photo of the suspect wanted in connection with the crimes. Bail for the burglary charges was set at $175,000.
