CVBA Golf Tournament
The Carson Valley Basketball Association is putting on its annual golf tournament Sept. 9 at the Carson Valley Golf Course.
The tournament is a four-person scramble with modified stableford scoring and will cost $100 per player.
Assist cards are available for purchase and a raffle will conclude the event. There will also be a hole-in-one contest, longest drive, closest to the pin and other competitions.
Proceeds from the event will go to scholarships for graduating seniors and to the CVBA.
Prizes, food and drink will be available after the event.

‘All 4 Charity’ cookout held
The 13th Annual "All 4 Charity" King Crab & Steak Cookout was at Big Daddy's Bike and Brew on Aug. 11.
Proceeds from this year's dinner will support the Me-for-Incredible-Youth education and career development programs and the Molly College-Vocational Scholarships for Douglas High graduating students. The event will also donate event proceeds to DHS volleyball program.
