Whether you are continuing or starting your education at Western Nevada College, spring semester offers students an opportunity to move closer to their educational and professional goals.

There still is time to become part of spring semester – you’ll need to submit a late registration form to Admissions and Records.

Students also have the option of taking open entry classes, where they can work at their own pace and enroll as late as the ninth week of the semester.

In addition, WNC offers late-start and short-term courses, many of which begin March 27. For information, go to www.wnc.edu/class-schedule

If you plan to enroll at WNC, call 775-445-3277, or if you need help with your schedule or other education needs, call 775-445-3267. Learn more about the enrollment process at www.wnc.edu/starthere/

Students get free shipping on WNC Bookstore orders

Some students may have just registered for classes or may be waiting to start their open entry or late-start courses. So that you’re ready for your first day of class, order the required textbooks and other learning materials through WNCs online bookstore as soon as possible. WNC partners with Textbook Brokers to supply books to its students. Textbook Brokers has quite a deal for students this semester: Free shipping to their residences on all of their orders.

“We rolled out free shipping on all WNC Bookstore orders in December, and as a result we've seen the number of students clicking the free Carson in-person pickup method drop precipitously this semester,” said Mark Mazurowski, Nevada regional manager for Textbook Brokers, noting that 90 percent of students are taking advantage of having their books mailed to their homes.

Place your orders at wncbookstore.com and receive free shipping to your residence or the campus pop-up bookstore. Mazurowski said to allow 2-3 business days for delivery to your residence. The WNC bookstore website also offers WNC emblematic merchandise and apparel.
