The Carson City Symphony, conducted by music director David Bugli, presents its first concert of 2023, “Three Continents,” on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center’s Bob Boldrick Theater, 851 E. William St.
The concert includes music from North America, Europe and Asia, and features concertmaster Brian Fox performing Rondo in A Major by Franz Schubert.
The program also includes Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz, Die Fledermaus Overture by Johann Strauss II, “Hoe-Down” from Rodeo by Aaron Copland, Chinese Folk Songs Suite by Mui Kwong Chiu, and Ruby Mountain Reflections by David Bugli.
General admission tickets are $18; $15 for seniors, students, and symphony members; and free for youth ages 18 and under. “Flex” tickets at discounted prices are also available. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
Pre-show entertainment by members of the Carson City School Orchestra with Brian Fox begins at 3 p.m. in the lobby, and a concert preview with conductor and soloist begins at 3:15 p.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room.
