Hello Fallon. This Friday, we have more great local music on our historic stage — Anabelle and Desert Scrubs with Steven Christie. It’s going to be a great night of music featuring some great local musicians. Tickets are $10 per person, doors open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m. Hope to see you there.

Saturday evening we have two great movies for you for free. Our first movie of the evening, starting at 6 p.m., is the 1950 film based on the true story that documents the U.S. Air Force mission to help save thousands of cattle caught in a sudden winter storm in Northern Nevada – “Operation Haylift.” Hundreds of tons of hay and other feed was loaded into C-82 Flying Boxcars from airports in Fallon and Minden and then flown to headquarters based in Ely to be airdropped to stranded livestock in Northeastern Nevada. Starring Bill Williams, Ann Rutherford and Tom Brown.

Our second feature on Saturday starting at 7 p.m. is the 1989 animated film “All Dogs Go to Heaven.” A canine angel, Charlie, sneaks back to earth from heaven but ends up befriending an orphan girl who can speak to animals. In the process, Charlie learns that friendship is the most heavenly gift of all. Voices provided by Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise and Judith Barsi.
