UPDATE:
On Feb. 26, at approximately 12:30 p.m. the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division was contacted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office who reported a citizen had located Deon Kincade-Hodson’s vehicle in a remote area of Douglas County.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Douglas County Search and Rescue responded to the area and located the vehicle, as well as the remains of a deceased adult female. At approximately 5:40 p.m. the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the remains discovered were in fact those of Deon Kincade-Hodson.

ORIGINAL STORY: Stormy weather likely will hinder searchers plan to take to the air today to look for a 64-year-old Dayton woman who was last seen in Smith Valley on Feb. 20.
Both Douglas and Lyon search and rescue have searched for her near where she was last seen near Artesia Road.
Deon Kincade is driving a blue and gray 1998 Jeep Wrangler and reportedly left Dayton to run errands in Carson City on Feb. 20.
Kincade is described as 5-feet 2-inches tall weighing 105 pounds and short blonde hair.
She was last seen wearing a pink and gray sweater, blue jeans and tan lace-up boots. The Wrangler’s license plate is 963G55.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, she possibly was making the return trip through Topaz Ranch Estates on State route 208.
That route would have taken her through Wilson Canyon which is only open three hours at a time for the morning and evening commutes.
