The Fallon City Council recently approved a mobile food vendor license and a liquor license and transferred funds between programs to end fiscal year 2023.
Sukhdev Singh received approval for his 5 Star Indian Cuisine mobile food truck license. The food truck serves up dishes including chicken curry, garlic naan and mango lassi at 1555 S. Taylor St. in the parking lot in front of Oasis Bowl.
The council also approved Roberta Nastro of Memorie Boutique at 31 S. Maine St. for a retail and drinking establishment license.
Councilwoman Kelly Frost and Councilman Paul Harmon expressed appreciation for the hard work that had gone into the Fourth of July parade and block party celebration. Harmon also thanked the Public Works Department, saying the reconstruction of West A Street looks great, and he knew they had worked hard to complete the project in time for the parade.
City of Fallon Clerk/Treasurer Sean Richardson presented a report on transfers of appropriations between functions or programs with the General Fund, Convention Center Fund and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Resource Fund during fiscal year 2023.
Following his report, the council took action to unanimously approve a resolution augmenting the Fiscal Year 2023 budget of the General Fund by $6,115,000, the Convention & Tourism Authority Fund by $250,000 and the Mayor’s Youth Fund by $10,000.
The council then authorized temporary interfund loans from the Landfill Enterprise Fund to the Water Enterprise Fund of $200,000 and to the Sewer Enterprise Fund of $300,000.
The council also gave approval to augment the budget of the Electric Enterprise Fund by $1,670,000, the Water Enterprise Fund by $240,000, the Sewer Enterprise Fund by $435,000, the Sanitation Enterprise Fund by $415,000, the Data Processing Internal Service Fund by $50,000 and the Public Works Internal Service Fund by $240,000.
