Carson High girls track and field finished with a couple of all-region honors for their work this season.
In the 800 meters, freshman Hannah Budd earned Class 5A second-team all-region honors.
Budd’s quickest time in the event came at the 5A state meet, where she posted a 2:21.22 for a personal record.
Joining Budd was Kaylynn Bloomfield in the 300-meter hurdles.
Bloomfield, a junior, recorded her quickest time in the event April 29 at the Big George Invitational, posting a 49.01.
The Senator girls 4x800 relay team garnered first-team all-region recognition.
Budd and teammates Jinnie Ponczoch, Vea Miner and Brianna Rodrigez-Nunez were able to post the second-best time in the North this season with a 9:48.52, coming at the 5A state meet.
Hawkins earns all-league, all-region honors
Carson High golfer Tristan Hawkins was named to the Class 5A all-region teams for his efforts on the course this season.
Hawkins earned honorable mention for both the all-league and all-region teams.
At the Northern 5A regional event, Hawkins tied for 19th with a two-day score of 92-79–171.
