Western Nevada College has announced that Bryce Clutts and Lupe Ramirez have joined the WNC Foundation Board of Trustees.
The foundation’s mission is to develop resources in support of Western Nevada College by creating community partnerships, encouraging philanthropy and strengthening relationships between the college and the community it serves.
“I am extremely proud to become a board member of the WNC Foundation,” Clutts said. “This college offers tremendous programs for its students and helps the workforce by turning out top-notch graduates. As a general contractor based in Northern Nevada, we are pleased to support its construction-centric programs and all the other programs that ultimately help local businesses hire future talent in our own communities.”
Ramirez, a Carson City School Board trustee, previously worked at WNC supporting and advising students.
“I am humbly honored to be part of this amazing team and I feel confident that I can contribute to the fabulous work they are doing,” Ramirez said. “I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of the WNC Foundation Board of Directors. After I retired from this institution, I was looking for ways to continue supporting the students to achieve their educational dreams while still enjoying my retirement. I learned that the Board was accepting applications for new members and I decided to apply. After I attended the first meeting, I had a chance to meet the group and felt welcome by everyone.”
